About Playa Chacala

Chacala has it all...a sumptuous, a half-mile-long beach with golden sand surrounded by emerald tropical forests; gentle surf that is perfect for swimmers of all ages; and a friendly atmosphere where one can experience authentic Mexican village life — Chacala has just 300 inhabitants.

Most of Chacala's dozen or so restaurants are situated on the beach. Feel the sand trickle through your toes while you savor world-class seafood or a delicious breakfast. On weekends and holidays, musicians stroll up and down the beach, adding to the local charm.
